To be considered for a commissioned painting, I would like to know a bit about yourself. Did someone refer you? Where have you seen my work? I would also like to know what you had in mind for a custom painting and why. For example, if you like a specific song and would like the lyrics/meaning abstracted, tell me why. Share some memories. Share some colors ideas, canvas size, when do you need it by, and so on. Be as detailed as possible. Please respect that I may decline a commission request. It may be due to already have abstracted the subject, for example, the song “Wish You Were Here” by Pink Floyd.
Commissions do require communications, conversations, and feedback in a timely manner. The layouts and color studies do require final approvals before I begin applying paint to the canvas. Every step of the way, I check in to show layouts, color studies, progress, and estimated delivery time.
While commissions do require extra time, I do not charge additional for custom paintings. Please allow two to six months for the commission process. My prices for commissions: $625 for one 12″x12″x1.5″ painting on canvas, $2,000 for one 24″x24″x1.5″ painting on canvas, and $4,500 for one 36″x36″x1.5″ painting on canvas. Payment will be discussed during this time as well.
If interested in a commissioned custom painting, please send me a detailed request on my Contact page.

To learn more about the commission process, check out this TMA Talk from about five years ago with Trout Museum of Art President, Christina Turner. All info in video is relevant today except my pricing structure. My apologies, I do say “absolutely” a LOT!
I also treat all commissions as confidential and private. Below are some commissions over the years that have been delivered and made public via social medias by their owners.
